EUGENE J. BARTUCCI, MD
Out of a strong desire to help people, Dr. Eugene Bartucci was drawn to the field of medicine. As someone who loves to work with his hands, he naturally gravitated toward orthopaedics because it afforded him the opportunity to help his patients his a very hands-on way.
Dr. Bartucci earned his medical degree from the Pritzker School of Medicine at the University of Chicago in 1980. In 1981, he completed an internship in general surgery at the University of Chicago Medical Center. Following his internship, Dr. Bartucci finished residencies the University of Chicago Medical Center in Orthopaedic Surgery, at Shriners Hospital for Children, and at Cook County Hospital in Fracture Service.
Since 1986, Dr. Bartucci has been practicing at Elmhurst Memorial Hospital, and he specializes in conservative, office-based treatment. Should surgery become necessary, he often refers patients to one of his colleagues at Elmhurst Orthopaedics.
Among the many things that Dr. Bartucci enjoys doing in his free time, exercise is notably important to him. He also enjoys, unsurprisingly as he is someone who enjoys a very hands-on approach to life, collecting and tinkering with model trains.
As a devoted medical professional, Dr. Bartucci always strives to give his patients kind and individualized care. It is commitment to helping his patients that continues to fuel his passion for orthopaedics.
